The school of Nanyogie.

Our next stop is the village school to meet the staff here to hand over one HiLight for testing.
Rafael introduced.
-We are testing this new product, developed by these mamas. So what brings to yor school is this process of testing

-Thank you. My name is Marias Micheto. I am assistant head teacher. We would be proud to be your testers.

Rafael is now going through the functionality of the HiLight. He tells that it is important to close the lid over the USB connector, and that it is important for charging not to shadow any part of it.

Daunstan, one of the teachers, is made responsible for the test. Kristina takes notes of unit number, and contact information. We go through the questions in the test form.
We ask for a comment from them before we leave.

-This would help us charging phones because we are far from electricity. We need phones to communicate with our leaders, and to communicate. For example, to tell about this project.

-HiLight would also make replacement for kerosene. It would make it easier to plan and to study. We have to buy kerosene with our own money, about 3600 tzs. The average salary for a school teacher is 140000 tzs per month. (Appr $100).

So the cost of charging phones and buying kerosene is a substantial cost. Up to 10% of the teachers salary must be used for these purposes.
