A sandbank day...

We are on our way out to the sandbank, a paradise spot outside Tanga. At high tide this i a tiny island maybe 100 m across. At low tide it becomes an island landscape with coral reefs surrounding it. A perfect place to relax and explore the life under water.

Unfortunately there is also the issue of dynamite fishing, the illegal fishing method that is destroying the corals and killing the fish.

Our boat is a traditional dhaw, owned by TICC.  Saidi is captain, Aiwadhi is his sailor. Life is good.
