This week saw me travel to the Western Isles and begin Metasgeul.I was delivering a number of courses and I introduced the idea of Metasgeul. Sgeul is the gaelic word for story. As part of the courses I introduced the concept using a powerpoint presentation of 5 stops around the Braighe. Each stop has 5 elements.
The place ; The Values ; The Questions ; The Task : The Soundtrack
The most powerful of all the stops on the Braighe was the crofters' memorial. The Values and Attributes it represents for me are:
Human Rights
Voice
COnflict
Stewardship
Struggle
Legacy
The Questions can be:
What would you fight for?
Is there any voice not being heard in your organisation?
What is your response to conflict?
We have stewardship of the land, how are we being stewards?
What do you struggle with?
This is a work of art , a sculpture that depicts people overcoming. What piece of Art work would capture your organisation?
The Task :
Do something for human rights this week.
Recycle something this week.
The Soundtrack
Listen to "I have a dream" delivered by MArtin Luther King on Youtube
