It was a funny feeling when Barbara and I dropped them off and headed back to SaxaVord. It was finished , my first group through a Metasaga. I knew it was a very powerful tool from the one I did with an individual, but I was unsure how it would work with a group of very different people. The beauty of the Metasaga is that it works for anyone that wants to engage with it. They travelled as a group but they answered the questions as individuals. Each with their own thoughts.
I love the Metasaga because it can be set in any environment. The creative aspect is seeing the metaphors and asking the right questions. I love the active , experiential learning that takes place. It is kinesthetic and tactile. It is multi sensory. I want to include music in the next one. A sound track for a Metasaga but always including silence.
At a follow up meeting in September many of those who experienced the Metasaga shared deep stories of the impact it had on them and their leadership role.
I have plans for more Metasagas her in Unst but also further afield. It may become the Metasgeul in the Western Isles. For those of you who cannot join us in person maybe this virtual environment will help you to live out your own questions.
Travel well and go in peace.
Kate
