Metafari - Ya Kwanza - Post Metafari

And it was a day of farewell. Bengt, Annet, Sonja and Ingrid was to return home. Lena were to stay until Monday. Leif had decided to stay another week.

We used Saturday morning to talk about the learnings, and how we should tell the story about upcoming the upcoming Metafari. Why would a consultant want to spend time and money to join? Why would a manager approve to send an employee for a Metafari week?

We still have a lot of work to do to compile the result of that discussion, but we got an email from Bengt and Sonja (two very experienced consultants) after they had returned home. This is what they suggested

• Explore underlying values and value patterns
• Find new ways of to realize success or new successes to realize"

A final comment

At the last AI conference in Florida there was a lot of talk about prototyping and new ways to work with design. We were very proud of the way this whole trip was made into a prototype where we all were prototypers, developers, learners, facilitators and teachers.

We achieved our objectives to an extent that was unreal, but we had to let go of most methods and activities we had planned. Technology did not work. Participants did not want to do the proposed way to do the sessions. A constant chain of succesful failures as Lena once said.

We will now think, reflect, review, write and plan for upcoming Metafaris. Next one for sure is March 16, with a possible date March 2 specially focused on an interest in becoming investors in the TICC centre.

This fall we can arrange up to four Metafaris in October & November.
